corner of the city in kotagede. Source : tripadvisor.com

Kotagede History

Kotagede is located in the southeast of Yogyakarta city. Kotagede in the past was the center of the Islamic Mataram sultanate. Some of the classic buildings in this area are still preserved until now, one of which is the mosque which is in the center of the Kotagede settlement.

The silver industry in Kotagede began in the 16th century. The silver industry in Kotagede was initiated by the nobility from the Yogyakarta Palace. During the reign of Panembahan Senopati, he ordered to make silver handicrafts for the sultanate’s household items.

Then the art of carving and forging silver was passed down from generation to generation. The Keraton nobility has an important role in teaching this art to the public. The Keraton nobility used to provide special training to palace employees to make silver handicrafts.

Starting from this training, the silver handicraft industry has developed which has become a source of income for the community. Currently Kotagede is developing into the only area that produces silver handicrafts and becomes a shopping tourist destination in Yogyakarta.

Prices for Kotagede Jewelery

When you decide to buy this handmade product, you can choose according to the price you want or the shape you like. For silver jewelry and crafts, the price ranges from hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions of rupiah.

They also provide authentic silver jewelry starting from two million rupiah to three hundred million rupiah. All these prices depend on the complexity of the time of manufacture. For types of crafts that have more complex shapes the price will be more expensive, because the production process takes a long time and requires precision.

Made Traditionally

Various jewelery, especially those made from silver, are done using manual or handmade labor. Therefore, the details of a craft will look beautiful. You can buy jewelry that is already available or you can also order the shape you want.

The added value of this business is that customers can see first hand the process of making silver jewelry at their workshop. There are tour packages that provide visit services to silver jewelry production centers in Kotagede. Like traditional batik, hand-made products have a high artistic value.

Cultural Heritage Area

Kotagede is a densely populated area in Yogyakarta because it has long been the capital of the Mataram sultanate. You will find many narrow streets, where there are traditional silver shops and old houses belonging to the mosaics of old mansions and merchants of the past.

Visiting the Kotagede tourist area will provide a different experience for tourists. Along the way, you will find various ancient buildings with unique architectural styles. There are buildings in the style of Dutch architecture, Javanese traditional, to Hindu Mataram that are still preserved and preserved until now.

The long history in Kotagede leaves historical relics that can be seen today. Exploring this area will be more exciting if done on foot. Walk along narrow streets and alleys, and visit every corner of the city which is filled with ancient buildings that have high historical and artistic value.

Legacy of the Mataram Sultanate

One of the legacies of the Islamic Mataram sultanate is the tomb complex of the Islamic Mataram kings which is located 100 meters south of Kotagede Market. This tomb is surrounded by a large wall which is very sturdy. Even though it is a Muslim tomb, this tomb has a gate with a typical Hindu architectural design.

Relics of the past in Kotagede. Source : tagar.id

There are three gates, each of which is equipped with thick wooden doors decorated with beautiful carvings. To enter this tomb, you are required to wear traditional Javanese clothes that can be rented around the tomb. You are also prohibited from taking pictures and are prohibited from wearing jewelry made of gold while in the tomb. In this cemetery there are graves of Panembahan Senopati, Ki Gede Penggahan, and Sultan Hadiwijaya.

Kotagede Grand Mosque which has an ancient architecture is located in the Mataram Kings Tomb complex. This mosque is believed to be the oldest mosque in Yogyakarta. Apart from being used as a place of worship, this mosque is a legacy from the Islamic Mataram Kingdom which has historical value.

That is the review about Kotagede and Kotagede jewelery that are liked by many tourists. Yogyakarta Tours travel service provider company offers travel package deals throughout Yogyakarta, including Kotagede.
If you visit Yogyakarta, and take the time to visit the city center, you will find the biggest market in Yogyakarta. The market has the name Beringharjo Market Yogyakarta , which is one of the traditional Yogyakarta markets that stands in the center of Yogyakarta. This market is also the biggest market in the city.

Even though department stores have sprung up in Yogyakarta, the people of Yogyakarta still take into account the existence of traditional markets. The people of Yogyakarta and its surroundings prefer to shop at traditional markets because the prices are cheaper and negotiable. If you can afford to bargain, you will get a very cheap price.

Therefore, if you want to find a unique souvenir as a memento that you have visited Yogyakarta, you should look for it in this market. Apart from being cheap, you will find unique items here.

Entering the Beringharjo Market you will see the front building of the market which looks magnificent with a mixture of Javanese and Dutch architecture, namely the two main tower buildings in the middle of which there is a sign that says Pasar Beringharjo in Latin script and Javanese script.

Beringharjo Market can be seen from the front. Source IG @ratna_pipit

The front building of the Beringharjo market was painted green and yellow, to match the Sultan Palace building. This building also functions as the center of the Beringharjo Market management office. So if you need information, you can ask the manager in this main building.

History of Beringharjo

Beringharjo Market which is a historical market has long been established in Yogyakrta. The place where Pasar Beringharjo was built was originally a banyan forest. After the establishment of the Kraton Yogyakarta in 1758, this place was used as a place for economic transactions by residents of Yogyakarta and its surroundings.

On March 24, 1925, the Yogyakarta Palace commissioned Nederlansch Indisch Beton Maatschappij (Dutch Indies Concrete Company) to build a market in the banyan forest. By the end of August 1925, 11 stalls had been completed. After Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono VIII was appointed king on March 24, 1925, the market was named Beringharjo.

Sultan Hamngku Buwono VIII ordered all agencies under the auspices of the Yogyakarta Sultanate to use Javanese. The name Beringharjo is adopted from the location of the market which is a former banyan forest, and the Javanese culture of the banyan tree is a symbol of greatness and protection for many people.

The development of Beringharjo Market is part of the urban planning design of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. This urban planning pattern includes four things, namely the palace as the center of government, the square as a public space, the mosque as a place of worship, and the market as the center of community economic transactions.

Items that you can find at Beringharjo Market

The commodities that are traded in this market are very diverse, ranging from clothing to modern products and traditional batik fabrics. In addition, a variety of traditional street food is available in this traditional market. So if you visit Yogyakarta, don’t stop by this traditional market.

1. Complete Batik Collection

You can find batik cloth as souvenirs at low prices and complete collections at Beringharjo Market. Beringharjo Market has various types of batik, both batik in the form of sheets of cloth and clothes. You can also find various types of batik fabrics such as cotton batik and silk batik fabrics.

The price offered is very affordable when compared to buying batik at a batik shop, starting from tens of thousands to the expensive ones, which are hundreds of thousands of rupiah. The western part of this market besides selling a variety of batik clothes, also sells traditional Javanese clothes such as Beskap, Blangkon, Surjan, and Selop. In addition, there are also those who sell clothes and bags and shoes today.

2. Various Antiques

An antiques center is on the third floor of the eastern market. In that place, you can find old typewriters, tens of years old cassette tapes, old children’s toys and so on. On this third floor you can find some quality second hand goods.

3 Market Food and Snacks

Yogyakarta has a distinctive traditional cuisine. Beringharjo Market sells various kinds of traditional Yogyakarta market snacks which are packaged in a traditional way. Some of these traditional foods may not be familiar to you. However, the food is quite delicious and processed in a traditional way.

Beringharjo Market is full of visitors. In addition, there are also other culinary delights such as Bakso, Soto, Chicken Noodle, and Satay which are sold in front of the main gate of Beringharjo Market.

Beringharjo Market is located at Jalan Margo Mulyo No.16, Ngupasan, Gondomanan District, Yogyakarta. The location of this market is south of Malioboro Street. We recommend that you book a hotel in the eastern area of Malioboro, besides the price is more affordable, the location is close to tourist destinations in Yogyakarta.
Yogyakarta holds a variety of local wisdom as well as a unique culture and has been passed down from generation to generation. This uniqueness is what makes foreign tourists curious and visit Yogyakarta through tour travel packages. One of the legendary local wisdoms is in the folk tales from Yogyakarta.

Although the folk tales from Yogyakarta has only been told from generation to generation and the truth has not been proven, it has been able to stick in the minds of the people of Yogyakarta in general. What is the folk tale of Yogyakarta which is famous for its mystique? Check out the explanation below!

Mysterious parangtritis beach. Source Unsplash

Nyi Roro Kidul

If you visit the southern coast of Java Island, starting from Pangandaran, which is located in West Java, to the coast in the East Java area, you will definitely be popular with the legend of the ruler of the southern sea. Various mentions were pinned, starting from Nyi Roro Kidul, Nyi Blorong, Kanjeng Ratu Kidul and so on. Actually, the different designations refer to the same figure even though there are those who have different opinions.

Nyi Roro Kidul is in the legends of the people of West Java, especially the southern coastal areas. The fierce waves of the Indian Ocean on the south coast of Java may have created both fear and respect for the forces of nature. With this tendency, a ruling queen was formed who was later identified as Ratu Kidul.

Nyi Roro Kidul is described as a beautiful woman wearing a green dress with a horse-drawn carriage and emerging from the middle of the southern sea of Java Island. That’s why there is a rule from the manager of Parangtritis Beach which prohibits visitors from wearing green clothes so as not to provoke the rulers of the southern Java sea to anger.

Unlike Nyi Roro Kidul, the figure of Nyi Blorong is depicted as a green snake with a head in the form of a beautiful girl’s head. The beautiful girl is a human body on the stomach, while the lower belly is a snake with green scales.

Lampor

Lampor is Nyi Roro Kidul’s troops from the southern sea who travel to the north, namely Mount Merapi. During their journey, the troops always used the river route that stretched across Yogyakarta. Like Kali Code, Winongo and Bedog. The troop can be detected from the sound of a musical instrument that can be heard accompanied by hooves of horses rushing to travel.

The entourage is a group of invisible creatures from the direction of the southern sea rushing towards the north, a situation that is tense for anyone. In ancient times, if this was heard then windows, doors were closed immediately. Anyone still outside immediately locked themselves in. They didn’t want to witness that terrible incident because they say that if humans witness it, they won’t come back again. Even if they come back, they will lose their mind.

In fact, the stories about Lampor are stories that were always told by parents when they were little. However, currently many of the young people in Yogyakarta do not know the story about Lampor, which is actually a story that has been known from generation to generation.

Mbah Petruk

There is a legend that is believed by the people of the slopes of Mount Merapi, both in Central Java and in Yogyakarta. People believe in a supernatural figure who resides at the top of Merapi. The community calls it Mbah Petruk. The existence of the legend of Mbah Petruk has long been trusted by the local community as the ruler of Mount Merapi.

As a form of respect, local people often make offerings with the aim of surviving the dangers of the eruption of Mount Merapi. Usually mbah Petruk will give a warning sign if Merapi erupts at any time. This sign is usually through dreams experienced by residents.

The eruption of Mount Merapi is associated with myths. Source Unsplash

The problem is that when Merapi has shown signs of an eruption, it is not certain that residents of the slopes of Merapi will evacuate. The reason is, the supernatural guardian of a 2,914 meters above sea level, commonly called Mbah Petruk, has not given orders through dreams to get out of the way. This has happened in the Selo area, Boyolali, which is thick with Javanese beliefs.

Those are some of the folk tales from Yogyakarta that have become urban legends that are still trusted by the people of Yogyakarta. When you visit Yogyakarta to spend your vacation, you have to get used to hearing these nonsense stories. Just listen and don’t argue so as not to make them angry. I hope this article is useful.

Get to know Mount Merapi Yogyakarta

Mount Merapi Yogyakarta is a stratovolcano located about 29 km north of Yogyakarta city. The cone shape of this volcano resembles Mount Fuji in Japan. The name Mount Merapi, literally translates to ‘volcano’. In West Sumatra there is also a mountain with a similar name, namely Mount Marapi.

The names between Merapi and Marapi are almost similar, but the characters are very different. The name Merapi which means volcano is exactly the same as the condition of the mountain which is the most active and dangerous volcano in Indonesia.

The peak of Merapi sits at an altitude of 2,930 m above sea level and the mountain is flanked by many beautiful small villages, some of which are located at 1,700 m above sea level. Although the threat may occur at any time, the population density around this volcano is 690 people per square km. The area around Mount Merapi was declared a national park in 2004, with a total land area of around 6,410 hectares.

Only 9 km north of Mount Merapi is another very beautiful volcano called Mount Merbabu. Its existence makes a beautiful backdrop when taking pictures from the top of Merapi. Merbabu has an altitude of 3,145 m above sea level, the peak of Merbabu is slightly higher than Merapi. Merbabu last erupted in 1560 and 1797 and until now has not erupted again.

The myth of Mount Merapi Yogyakarta

There are many myths attached to Mount Merapi, especially those that develop in local people who live at the foot of the mountain. Some people believe that one of the palaces that belonged to a ghost is located inside a mountain. In addition, many mountaineers circulate that in one area of Mount Merapi there is a devil market.

Mount Merapi Yogyakarta is also considered sacred by local residents, and people often bring offerings from the Keraton palace in Yogyakarta on the anniversary of the Sultan’s coronation to assuage the anger of the inhabitants of the mountain. Another belief is that all who enter the mountain area must apologize to the ‘mountain authorities’ if they urinate or speak dirty words while climbing the mountain.

Eruption History

Merapi has a very deadly history from its eruptions in the past. The eruption of Mount Merapi has caused many deaths and thousands of people have fled their hometowns. Mount Merapi usually erupts every 2-3 years with a small eruption, and a bigger eruption occurs every 10-15 years.

The fall of the Hindu Mataram Kingdom in 1006 and the burial of several temples including the Borobudur temple are believed to be due to the large eruption of Merapi at that time. In November 1994 an eruption was quite large and caused a flow of hot clouds to rush down the western side of the mountain towards the village in Muntilan and killed 27 villagers who could not evacuate on time. After that followed lava flows and volcanic earthquakes.

The 2006 eruption resulted in a lava flow and a flow of hot clouds known as wedhus gembel that caused two fatalities. At the same time, an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck 50 km southwest of Mount Merapi. The big earthquake killed 5,000 people and caused thousands of buildings to collapse due to the tremors.

Mount Merapi eruption. Source Unsplash

A major eruption occurred on October 25, 2010. The eruption was preceded by hundreds of volcanic earthquakes and rising magma levels. In the event of the eruption killed more than 300 people and destroyed more than 300,000 homes. Most of the victims were injured or died as a result of burns, besides psychological trauma also whacked the refugees.

Yogyakarta Tugu Monument is one of the icons of the City and unique building in Yogyakarta that cannot be missed. In addition to various tourist sites such as natural attractions, beaches, markets and playgrounds, Tugu Yogyakarta can also be a tourist spot. Although this Yogyakarta monument spot is only a monument.

Various tourist spots in Yogyakarta are also supported by various facilities. Trans Yogyakarta public transport facilities, Yogyakarta travel agents, car rentals, hotels and various lodging can make it easier for anyone traveling in Yogyakarta. No wonder Yogyakarta is one of the famous tourist destinations in Indonesia.

Yogyakarta Tugu Monument holds various attractions ranging from history to the typical scenery. In addition, the architectural form is also interesting to discuss. It seems, anyone who has visited Yogyakarta, is incomplete if they have not visited this one tourist spot. Check out the following complete information.

Yogyakarta Tugu Monument

Yogyakarta Monument is one of the things worth visiting while traveling in Yogyakarta. Because this location is unique and can provide its own entertainment. After a long standing, this Yogyakarta monument is getting better with the existence of several buildings after renovation.

The first attraction is from the side of the historical story. This monumental building has been established since 1755 although with a different initial form from what is currently seen. When it was first established, the building was also given the name Golong Gilig.

Gilig is a cylindrical tube shape while Golong is round or spherical. From this name, it can be imagined that this monument was originally cylindrical in shape and has a rounded top. This form also has its own meaning which is the purpose of this building.

Like every monument that was built with a specific purpose, Tugu Yogyakarta was built as a monument to describe “manunggaling gusti kawula”. The meaning is the union between people and leaders for a common goal. This goal is related to the drive to jointly fight the Dutch colonialism.

In 1867 an earthquake caused a number of damage including the collapse of this monument. The period after the collapse of this monument became a transitional period that slightly shook the spirit of unity. Yogyakarta is indeed one of the earthquake prone areas because of its strategic location.

New renovations carried out after the collapse until in 1889 the shape of the Tugu architecture changed dramatically. The initial shape of the building which was cylindrical turned into a square beam. The peak of the monument which was originally rounded turns into a cone shape. The height of the monument was originally 25 meters to about 15 meters.

This change cannot be separated from the interference of the Dutch who also helped “renovate” the building. In this new form, there is a form that marks who is involved in the rebuilding of this monument. Until then this proud monument has the title “De White Paal” which is the Dutch language of the White Pal Monument.

The location of Yogyakarta Monument is very strategic, which is connected to the line from the zero point of Yogyakarta to the north. So it is very easy to find this one tourist spot. This location indeed functions as a longitude marker from north to south, where the north is Mount Merapi while the south is the South Sea of Yogyakarta through zero km, the plaza and the Sultan palace of Yogyakarta.

Here visitors can enjoy various activities and spots around the monument. The most favorite activity to do is, of course, take pictures with the backdrop of this phenomenal Yogyakarta monument. In addition, in the southern corner of the monument also built an artistic and beautiful park which is also suitable to be used as a photo spot. This park can also be a relaxing place to enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Location and Route

Tugu Monument is in Gowongan, Kec. Jetis, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta. It is located in an easy-to-reach area of Yogyakarta City. But when talking about traffic, at certain hours this location is indeed full and crowded. So you can determine for yourself when is the right time for you to visit this location, both when it is quiet or crowded.

If departing from Adisutjipto Airport, the route taken is to the west via Jalan Yogyakarta – Solo. If departing from the zero km point at the center of the city, it is necessary to rotate after going west then south. Before heading to Magelang turn east towards the monument area. If using a bus the vehicle must park in a location far from city traffic.

Here goes a glimpse of interesting information related to the Yogyakarta Tugu Monument for you. Hopefully it can provide interesting insights and provide an illustration of the beauty of Yogyakarta. Also check out various other information and look forward to the latest Yogyakarta tourism updates here.

So what will we find attractive in this village?

Rocks that are volcanoes in the past. Source IG @gunungapipurba

The History

Science based history of this place is it’s an ancient volcano of Java Island which is ten million years of age. Then the local folklore is explaining how is it to be called Nglanggeran. Because this name is actually unusual. So there has to be a context of this name that will leave our curiosity behind.

Nglanggeran means violate, or violation to be exact. So there is the story behind it. Once, on the harvest season, it’s traditional for local to celebrate it by organizing local puppet show called wayang. Then, the local made a mistake by carelessly broke the puppet. So the conductor of the show which is believed to be great by the tradition condemn the local. He exiled the perpetrators in to an exile village named Nglanggeran.

The Nglanggeran Peak

The main site of the village is the volcano peak. To reach the peak, visitors have to climb some of rock hills which is safe to climb without any safety kit. Although it’s still recommended to wear the safety outdoor gear. Another is the trekking track, which is quite challenging to trek. There are some facilities like ropes, ground stairs with wood railing and several rest spot. It’s challenging physically but enjoyable as there are beautiful scenery around the track.

Nglanggeran Pond

Nglanggeran Pond which is called Embung Nglanggeran is a pond which is another tourism spot in the village. Once, there was a little hill which is not higher than the Nglanggeran peak sat between the village. One day, the local needs water supply for their daily needs which is enough to supply the entire village. So that they decide to build the pond by cutting out the peak of the little hills.

Out of concern, the pond is beautify the surrounding area. It becomes attractive at sunrise and sunset times. It then developed by local authority to be one of the stunning spots in the area. Even from height viewpoint the pond looks incredible surrounded by forest greenery. Many visitors came to take a picture and rest to feel the fresh air.

Kampung Pitu

There is one site that is unique as other sites in the ancient volcano. Its known as Kampung Pitu or Village of Seven in english. The unique part is that there has to be seven families that live and it can’t be more or less. The local believe that somehow, when it becomes more than seven families, there will be something bad happen. So, if one of the descendants have to be married, they have to leave the village and live in other places.

Kedung Kandang Waterfall

This waterfall is another attractive site of the entire ancient volcano village of Nglanggeran. In the middle of rice fields, which is deep (almost hidden) into the local settlements, there is multi level waterfall. This attractive sites arguably rare to find in another place in the world. The fall would be magnified at the day when it was raining the night before.

Interesting Activity

Beside the spots, there are some activities that tourists can enjoy in the village. The purpose of the tourism village is to introduce local products and traditions. The signature product of the village is chocolate. The tradition is based on javanese culture which is more specific to the village traditions such as Unggah-Ungguh (manners), Karawitan which is a set of javanese musical instrument and some of the ritual depends on the moment.

Danau buatan di nglanggeran. Source IG @gunungapipurba

Getting There

The Village is located more or less 27 km from Yogyakarta city. To get there, you can’t use local transportation is it unavailable. So the only option is by renting a car. There are some rental car services that can provide english speaking driver, which is more convenient for foreign tourists. One of the tour package providers, namely Yogyakarta tours, provides a driver who is able to speak English. If you have to drive by yourself, you can use google maps and have to ask local because the map doesn’t provide any location and information specifically.

Yogyakarta which also known as Jogja has many beaches to visit. Indrayanti beach Jogja is one of the best beaches among the beautiful beaches in Gunungkidul. Besides being famous, this place is also often recommended among many other beaches. It is interesting to explore further various information related to Indrayanti Beach.

The area of Yogyakarta is in the south of the island of Java, which borders directly with the Indian Ocean. So there are lots of Jogja Beach tourism objects that can be visited. At least there are more than 40 beaches that are frequented. Not counting various unopened beaches.

Each beach in Gunung Kidul usually has its own characteristics and uniqueness. What are the special characteristics and uniqueness found in Indrayanti Beach? Here are some information that was successfully summarized by the Yogyakarta Tours editorial team.

beautiful indrayanti beach.
The History of Indrayanti Beach Jogja

This beach can be said to be unique from its name. Because usually the beaches in Jogja have names that are based on place names or based on Javanese language taken from events that occurred in the past where the beach is located. But Indrayanti actually looks like someone’s name.

Indrayanti is the name of a restaurant located on the beach. Officially the local government inaugurated the name of this beach is Pulang Sawal or Pulang Syawal. But it turns out the community and tourists know this beach more as Indrayanti.

Indra and Yanti are Indrayanti restaurant owners who are often the destination of tourists visiting the beach. In addition, the restaurant’s signboard is clearly visible as if it was a beach sign. Here are some possibilities because this beach is rarely known as Pulang Sawal.

Related to this difference in names could cause polemic. Because Yogyakarta is indeed a cultural tourism area which tends to have characteristics in naming that is based on Javanese tradition. But this polemic did not continue and the beach could still be visited.

The existence of managers from the private sector provides its own added value. This beach is maintained in terms of location and cleanliness. There are even rules that have consequences for tourists if they break them. For example, negligence of littering. As a consequence, the perpetrators will be fined Rp. 10,000.

Enchantment of Beach Beauty

In general, this beach is beautiful like other Gunung Kidul beaches. Because both have a distinctive view of the Indian Ocean which has large waves and covered in blue sky. On its sides there are cliffs and white sand.

The tourists have their own assessment of the attractions on this one. Some tourists consider this attraction to be Kuta Beach in Jogja. Kuta Beach is actually one of the most popular beaches in Bali.

If lucky, when playing water on the beach, visitors will find jellyfish. Of course it needs to be vigilant and advised not to touch it. But this can be a scene in itself because it is rarely found on other beaches in Yogyakarta.

If you want to spend all day, the sunset view in the afternoon that is contained in this tourist attraction is also so enchanting. If you spend time into the night, tourists can stay at various lodgings in the location and in the morning can watch the sunrise at once.

There are also quite fertile cliffs on the beach side, because there are trees on it. From this cliff tourists usually take portraits of the beach and take pictures with the beach landscape background. So, this beach is also suitable to be an instagenic photo spot.

Tourists can also do various activities here. Play water, relax under an umbrella and gather with family or colleagues in the gazebo available. If you want a challenging activity, tourists can also rent a jetski. All activities that use on-site facilities can be done at a relatively affordable facility rental fee.

Tourist Attraction Location

This tourism object can be entered through one entrance that connects to other adjacent beaches namely Pok Tunggal Beach, Krakal Beach and Sundak Beach. Through this entrance fee will be levied, but can at the same time to visit the various beaches in the vicinity. This location is far from Parangtritis Beach because it is located in a different Regency.

Indrayanti Beach is precisely located in the village area of Tepus, Tepus sub-district, Gunung Kidul district. The condition of the route to get to the tourist sites of Yogyakarta is relatively comfortable with a slight ups and downs. So it is recommended, when departing from the city of Yogyakarta, use four-wheeled vehicles.

If you use a four-wheeled vehicle, you will be more comfortable and can save energy before enjoying the beach or after returning from the beach. Because the distance is about 66 km or about 2 hours drive. Imagine if you use a 2-wheeled vehicle, the trip can be longer.

If you don’t have a four-wheeled vehicle, you don’t need to worry. Especially for tourists who visit from outside the area. There are Jogja car rental facilities that can be your travel companion to visit various tourist locations in Yogyakarta.

Additional information

Entrance fee or levy when passing the entrance to several beaches on location is Rp. 10,000 When after passing the retribution counter, the vehicle parking fee is Rp. 4,000 to Rp. 15,000 depending on the type of vehicle. Besides that, there are fees for using beach facilities ranging from umbrellas, gazebos to jetski which range from Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 30,000 and Rp. 250,000 for jetski.
